Whatever the season, Fougerolles is full of magnificent landscapes, monuments, fountains, ...

Fancy a break in the countryside in spring, come and discover the cherry blossoms. The best period is from the end of March to mid-April. The fields are dotted with magnificent colors, white, yellow, green ... Some 15,000 cherry blossoms put stars in your eyes. This ephemeral phenomenon that Mother Nature offers us is very popular with photographers.

In summer, come and taste the fruit of Fougerolles: the cherry. The early varieties start to redden at the end of May, and the later ones at the end of June. Perhaps you will have the chance to attend the cherry tree shaking operation, for the varieties intended for the manufacture of brandy. Or perhaps you will meet a picker with his "charmotte" on his goat's foot ... his good cherries will go to decorate excellent donuts or clafoutis.

As autumn arrives, the trees are adorned with beautiful colors, lose their foliage and gradually reveal the castle, up there on the mound.

And if the weather does not allow you to stroll on foot in our beautiful countryside, you can always visit the museum of the country of the cherry (10 minutes away), or visit our local producers and distillers.

Come and discover the magnificent Hermitage Saint-Valbert, and the animal park of Fougerolles-Saint-Valbert, children will be delighted to see the animals in free sowing (deer, chamois, ibex, llamas, ...).

But the region is full of things to discover, the spa town of Luxeuil-les-Bains, the glassworks of Passavant-la-Rochère, the source of Planey in Angeux, the plateau des Mille Etangs, the mythical Planche des Belles Filles ...

And as we are located 3 km from the Vosges, we also advise you to stroll in the streets of Plombières les Bains or Val d'Ajol ...
